Meet Together Housing

Together Housing is a social landlord with 38,000 homes across the north of England. Its trades and maintenance teams are on the road every day, travelling between homes, depots and sites to keep properties safe and in good repair.

That work depends on a fleet of 550 vans, and on the people who drive them.

The challenge

For Together Housing, driver safety and customer service go hand in hand. A van that arrives safely and on time is a repair that gets done and a tenant who is looked after.

The team wanted three things from a fleet safety partner:

  • Support for drivers, rather than a system that felt like surveillance.
  • Greater insight into fleet performance, including driving behaviour, vehicle incidents and day-to-day operations.
  • Lower risk across the business, with clearer evidence when incidents happen.
“Keeping our drivers safe while maintaining a high standard of customer service is essential. We wanted a solution that supported our drivers, gave us greater insight into fleet performance, and helped reduce risk across the business.”
Lee Warburton, Property Manager, Fleet and Contracts, Together Housing

The solution

Exeros worked with the Together Housing fleet team to build a bespoke solution around those goals. It brings together three parts:

  1. AI dash cams. AI camera systems on every van provide real-time, AI-powered driver safety alerts on the road.
  2. VideMatics video telematics. The VideMatics platform gives managers fleet-wide insights, cloud-based incident footage and driver performance data in one place.
  3. The Roadie driver app. Roadie gives drivers advanced driver scoring and lets them review their own journeys and events first. Privacy mode means drivers are supported, not watched, and only repeat or serious risks are escalated to managers.
“Exeros understood our goals from day one and worked with us to create a bespoke solution we’re thrilled with.”
Lee Warburton, Together Housing

What it means for the fleet

The partnership is a key part of Together Housing’s wider fleet strategy. Across the fleet, it will help the team to:

  • Build a clearer understanding of driving behaviour across all 550 vans.
  • Focus coaching on the drivers and behaviours that need it, using scores and footage drivers can see for themselves.
  • Improve accident management, with cloud-based footage available quickly when an incident is reported.
  • Reduce road risk while protecting drivers and the tenants they serve.
“Together Housing is sector-leading when it comes to road safety. We’re thrilled to partner with them on a bespoke solution that reduces road risk and provides practical insights that managers and drivers can use every day.”
Jay Biring, CEO and Co-founder, Exeros
